As a biomechanist I look at the whole and not only identify imbalances and compensatory patterns, but also the cause and effect chain.

You cannot correct your posture and aligent from your extremities for example. 

What I mean by that is that posture comes from the axial skeleton first. And while you may have one leg turned out or a shoulder up or forward or all of the above you CANNOT correct this by turning your leg in or dropping your shoulder or pulling it back - you would make things worse.

• As opposed to just giving you verbal cues,  I first observe how you move off the horse as you get ready to ride.
• We identify patterns on the ground, create awareness around them. 
• We establish what it should feel like in your own body as you correct the origin of the pattern, so you can take the felt sense into the saddle.
• You do your regular warm up exercises and we determine what serves you best in resolving the pattern.
• I also have you stop as I give hands-on feedback throughout.

Based on your goal, assessment and intake information we develop a session tailored to your needs. Hands-On Bodywork modalities are thoughtfully combined to address the unique aspects of your circumstances.

Often we re-establish functional movement patterns as I guide you hands-on to where we want to movement to originate from. This is essential in changing a subconscious faulty neurological pathway and finding your way back to a more efficient pattern.

Besides awareness practices you ideally take into all  activities of your daily life we may add a short practice routine combining self-treatment techniques of the  Melt® Method and Neuromuscular Re-education.
