Your First Session


paperworkPlease arrive 10 minutes early to fill out paperwork and discuss your symptoms, goals and health history.

You will need to bring or wear what we call “viewing clothes”, which just refers to the viewing and -rolfingneutralassessment process that Rolfers undertake to look at your alignment and range of motion before you begin your session. Some people are comfortable wearing their undergarments, and others prefer to bring a swim suit, or exercise shorts/tights.

For best results from the hands on work it is best, if as much skin as possible is exposed.

Bottoms should be clingy and shorter rather than looser or longer so I can see hip function and femur alignment. This viewing will take place for a few short minutes before and sometimes during a session.


No Lotion

Please refrain from wearing any body lotion or oil, so the practitioner can effectively address restrictions in the tissue.

Your session will be about 1 hour 15 minutes long, from start to finish. While you should and will feel intense sensations during some of the work that we do, it is important that you never feel sensations that you experience as unbearable or ineffective, because they are painful. Communication is very important, especially during the first few sessions as we get to know each other.
